Fish Pewter Shawl Pin
Its story: I commissioned Paul to sculpt and cast a shawl pin for me to fasten a shawl I had just finished crocheting, and this is it! This stunning shawl pin is sculpted, then cast in lead-free pewter and hand finished by my partner, Paul. It has a sea theme with beautifully crafted leaping fish and the pin depicts a narwhal horn. A work of art in itself, it will elevate a shawl, scarf or wrap into something extra special. The pin measures approx 10cms and the inner diameter of the ring is approx 3cms. £15.00 |
Leaf Pewter Shawl Pin
Its story: the first shawl pin, above, was so good that Paul made another, just to ring the changes!
This stunning shawl pin is sculpted, then cast in lead-free pewter and hand finished by my partner, Paul. This has a woodland theme depicting leaves from the forest and the pin is a twig with an acorn in its cup at the end. Their story: I had just bought a new set of watercolour paints made with natural pigments (wild saffron, gardenia, paprika, beetroot, elderberry, wild mustard, Japanese spirulina, chlorophyll, stinging nettle, safflower, caramel and charcoal!) and was playing with them and this was the result! Brightening up your life in small ways can make your heart sing and now you can carry a piece of art around with you whenever and wherever you want.
