About Me
Hedgewitch
At around six years old my Dad's good friend taught me how to dowse (for ley lines) with a Y stick and to this day I still dowse, though with a pendulum (not so good for outdoor work) but it's easier to carry around! Crystals are my fave for using as an oracle and for healing purposes.
My Dad was a huge influence on me and my very close relationship with him and Nature were entwined. He would talk to me about trees' auras and instilled in me a reverence, a belief and a love of Nature from a very young age. No wonder I was drawn to this Path! |
Dream Weaver
When I lived in the city, holding down a 9-5 career, I dreamed of living a creative life, close to Nature and Her rhythms and the energy that connects all things. With the help of my partner, Paul (aka Mr Fix-it) we spent 7 years dreaming it into being. We now live on the water, on a narrowboat, on a canal in the South Pennines, UK and have a dreamy, creative, spiritually rich life and have never been happier. Follow your dreams! Weave them into being! They will bring great happiness.

Creative Chameleon
These are some of my fave creative media: pen and ink, crochet hook and yarn, naturally pigmented watercolour paints, fabric and thread and Sculpey. I am a pattern and colour magpie and always take my sketchbook and 'talking sticks' with me wherever I go. For me, creating designs and art is bordering on an obsession, certainly a compulsion and, at times, can be all-consuming.
My work has been exhibited in N.Yorkshire, W.Yorkshire and Lancashire, UK and has been sold nationally and internationally, including to the USA. I have been commissioned for a range of projects including glass painting a window, designing and sculpting a shawl pin, creating a themed series of art work and designing and crocheting a Victorian/Goth lacy neck collar. |
Renaissance Rock Chick
Music 'sends' me. It's as constant a companion as I can make it. My current playlist includes Chickenfoot, Jokers, Lions, Foo Fighters, Marilyn Manson, Black Country Communion, Joe Bonamassa, Monster Magnet, Tool and A Perfect Circle. At the other end of the spectrum is my love of madrigals, and motets like Paul Mealor's 'Ubi Caritas' and Thomas Tallis' 'Spem in Alium', and the wonderful 'Alina' by Arvo Part, which makes me hold my breath in rapture.

Apprentice Geek
I love-love-love the internet! I'm into website building, Kindle reading, taking photos with my Nintendo (like the self portraits on this page) and I'm getting to grips with using a graphics tablet. I read fantasy and science fiction, love Jackie Chan films (especially the early ones), still get blown away by The Matrix and adore Spartacus, Blood and Sand and the prequel series which, amazingly, is even better!
